The Viper by Makani Shapes

Introducing the the Viper by Makani Shapes. His newest high performance shortboard is amazingly easy to ride right out of the gate. Makani describes it as a very neautral board; meaning it won't fight you. It's easy for you to figure out and just ride. It does what you want when you want without thinking. 

The Viper is super fast and responsive and enjoys a little more power and pocket. So when the waves get good the Viper turns into high gear and really shines. For good surfers who ride their shortboard in weaker/smaller surf this board will do the same. You can ride this in chest to overhead + waves depending on your skill level. The Viper sizes up nicely for those who want to have a step-up version and for bugger riders as well. 

The Viper comes in a round pin which Makani says is perfect for the fins and rail setup. She goes so he's not changing it up with any other tail variations. Makani recommends the Merrick fins as a starting point. Since it's a neutral fin you can get a sense of what direction you need to go if it doesn't work out perfectly. However, Makani usually likes and sticks with the Merrick fins. Size it in your normal shortboard size and you good to go.
