The New CV-1 Step-Up by Glenn Pang

The CV-1 by Glenn Pang is our newest Step-Up. This one fills the gap between the CSU and S-4V. The S-4V is arguably the best step-up on the North Shore for heavy waves like Pipeline but it's not known for it's open face turning. The CSU is a hyper responsive step-up that can feel a little too lively once the surf gets to a certain size and power range. Glenn decided to blend the CSU bottom with the S-4V outline to create a step-up that gives so some added speed and responsiveness in the open face but holds in those steep and deep sections when you need it most. 

For a lot of surfers who don't paddle out in 12-15 ft Pipeline but do want to surf their local surf break on it's biggest days, the CV step-up is the perfect board to add into their quiver. You'll love the extra hold and confidence it gives on big drops and bottom turns while also allowing you to execute radical turns after exiting the barrel.
