2011 NSSA National Championships
T&C Surf Team Riders Rise to the
Occasion
The highly anticipated NSSA National
Championships took place on June 26 - July 3 in Huntington
Beach.
All the best amateur surfers under 18 in
the US fought it out all week in Huntington
Beach. While the waves were small the groms were smaller, and
able to hop their way around the lineup in 1-3 foot surf.
T&C Surf's team rider Kalani David took out
the coveted Explorer Boy's title over Josh Monizand Elijah Gates.
Kalani also took home the third place trophy in the Men's Open.
The McGill brother and sister duo took big wins
at the NSSA Championships. Dax McGill won the Open Girl's and
placed fourth in the Explorer Women's and Explorer Girls. While her
brother Fin McGill dominated the Explorer Super Groms Division
coming out on top and took third in the Explorer Menehune. These
siblings have shown the competition what they are made of.
